“To Live is to Dance”
Studio One was established in 1960 by Gloria Rustmann. Gloria had been teaching many years as “Gloria’s School of Dance.” In 1960, the name “Studio One” was born with the intention to have a “Studio Two” and “Studio Three.” Today, Gloria’s daughter, Gabrielle Rustmann Barnett, runs the studio. Gabrielle has discovered, as Gloria did, that having one dance studio keeps you busy enough. Therefore, no plans for additional studios at this time!
This website was created as an informational outlet for parents of Studio One dancers. Emailing and texting are the main forms of communication with parents, and the website will be an additional way of keeping parents in the loop.
This site contains Studio One policies, class requirements, and financial obligations. We will update it periodically with information on Studio One news and events. We hope it will be helpful!
Our studio is located at 900 N. Park Lane. We have one large dance studio equipped with mirrors and ballet barres and a smaller studio for smaller classes and private lessons. There’s a drop off lane in the front and customer parking in the front and back.
AcroDance Facility – Located one building North of the main studio, our AcroDance space is where we practice tricks to incorporate into our dancing. Our younger AcroDance students are learning Ballet as well as Acro in their classes.
Enrollment for the year begins on August 1st every year via our Parent Portal found on this website. Enrollment is first come, first serve. Please make sure you check out through the cart to finalize your child’s enrollment or your spot is not held.
Summer dance classes are normally offered in June. Information will be posted on the website in May and enrollment will be through the Parent Portal. There is no registration fee for summer classes.
